All that jazz at the Bayview


The Bayview Hotel in Ballycotton will host this rare opportunity to hear Dan Barrett from the USA (trombone ,trumpet and vocals), Ian Date (guitar) and Neil Ó Loclainn (double bass) as part of the lead up to the Midleton Arts Festival.

This exciting event will provide the perfect opportunity for all you lovers of excellent food and music to enjoy the experience in a comfortable and intimate setting.

This event swings into action on Saturday, May 11th with classic jazz from the 1930’s and 40’s played with plenty of excitement and flying fingers, hot licks and tricks expected!

Dan Barrett is an outstanding Trombone and Cornet player. Born in California he has worked all over the world at festivals and events with such people as Woody Allen, Rosemary Clooney and Benny Goodman to name a few. Dan has played both valve and slide trombones for many motion pictures, including The Cotton Club and Brighton Beach Memoirs, as well as Woody Allen’s Mighty Aphrodite, Everyone Says I Love You, and Bullets Over Broadway. Dan divides his time between arranging music and touring in the USA and Europe.
