Carrigtwohill centenarian living life to the full


One hundred years of living – few of us ever get to lay claim to that achievement but Gordon Lawson can. The centenarian is pictured here with his granddaughter, Emma Davies and her two children, his great-grandchildren, Teagan (9) and Jude (6) Davies. Gordon, who lives in Clúid Housing’s Ardcarrig scheme in Carrigtwohill, is a prime example of living life to the full. He was awarded the 2018 Golden IT Award at the Eir Silver Surfer Awards (when he was a mere 99 years of age!) in recognition of his keen use of technology, showing yet another way of staying active and staying connected in old age.
