Gaelscoil Mhainistir Na Corann was delighted to unveil their Crann Beatha/Tree of Life last Monday morning. Susan Herlihy from Crafty Hands was the artist in residence for this project which involved all 508 children in the school.
Susan held workshops with all of the classes earlier in the year and each child designed their own tile, the older children being involved with the Tree of Life and the younger children with the three saplings which are displayed on the three pillars adjacent to the main door. Susan and her tilers Ollie and George had worked right through the weekend to ensure that the installation was ready for Monday morning.
