Festival of the Year, Youghal Medieval Festival,
set for August Bank Holiday Weekend, 2019
The 13th annual Youghal Medieval Festival will take place in the Youghal this year on August 4TH, 2019. The current ‘Festival of the Year’ (Chambers Ireland, Excellence in Local Government Awards) has been given a new place in the calendar year of the August bank holiday weekend to facilitate the increasing numbers wishing to attend the event. The event is organised by Cork County Council’s Youghal Heritage Committee in partnership with the Irish Walled Towns Network.
Youghal is still riding on the crest of a wave since ‘Ironman’ swept into the East Cork town in June of this year and it is all set to continue as the Youghal Medieval Festival delivers one of the largest, most successful free events of its nature Ireland.
