Midleton & Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a lunch with Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and Minister of State David Stanton last week. The lunch, taking place in the Malt House at the Jameson Experience Midleton, will include speeches on the thriving tourism and agriculture industries in East Cork from Irish Distillers and Dairygold.

Speaking about the event, Midleton & Area Chamber President Stephen Belton said, “All of us involved in the Chamber of Commerce are delighted to welcome An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar to Midleton & East Cork. We appreciate that he understands the importance of regionality in Ireland and also the importance of appropriate infrastructural development around the towns and villages of rural Ireland. We were delighted to be able to host this lunch in the Jameson Experience Midleton, the home of Irish whiskey, and a key driver of the tourism and agriculture sectors in East Cork.”
