The Speech and Language Therapy team in Down Syndrome Cork were delighted to host a day of celebration for our members for World Down Syndrome day in the Field of Dreams, Curraheen on Thursday, March 21st. There were 2 events held – one supporting babies and children aged 0-6 years, and one for children and teenagers aged 7-16 years. The SLT team hosted a number of activity stations included singing and Lámh signing groups, interactive storytelling, crafts, a scavenger hunt, a magician and balloon modelling. The SLT team work with these children throughout the year and wanted to reward their hard work and celebrate their similarities and differences on World Down Syndrome Day.
